TXARP Members and Friends,

Texas Rail Corridors will be the focus of our next meeting on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center, 1001 Jones Street in Fort Worth, TX.   Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m.   Registration fee is $15.   Advanced registration is encouraged to assist us in preparing for the included luncheon.   If you plan to attend, please let us know by returning the enclosed form so it is received no later than March 17.

Featured speakers include:

* Councilman Jungus Jordan, Fort Worth, will highlight regional and high speed rail.

* Tim Geeslin, former TXARP President and NARP Board Member will discuss the I-20/I-35 corridor.

* Peter LeCody, President of Texas Rail Advocates and member of the TxDOT I-35 Corridor Advisory Committee, details specifics of the Committee's recommendations on rail service.

Other topics expected to be covered:

* Amtrak report

* West Texas report

With passage of the Stimulus Bill in Washington, D.C. and the renewed interest in passenger trains in Austin, it is important for us to support expansion of passenger train service in Texas.    Join us on Saturday, March 21, and be informed.
