This is a view of the shuttle buses that make the run into DFW Airport.     The buses meet all trains.    Different buses go to different terminals or areas of the airport.    Keep in mind the airport covers around 21 square miles.    There are plans to extend the rail into the airport in the future as part of a transportation plan now in development.

Again this is at the Centreport/DFW Airport Station; this is a view of the bi-level equipment that was supplied by Fort Worth for this service.    These were rebuilt by Amtrak at Beech Grove and are very nice inside.

The building in the center of the image is the historic T&P Station.    This is the view looking west just after clearing the old Santa Fe Station and going across the bridge over the highway.    The Interstate Highways have been relocated to the south side of the station, which is to the left in the photo.

This is one of two former snack bars or diners located in the T&P Station.    Both are long out of use but may see the light of day again with rail services returning to the station.    This is on the east side of the building and the other, which is smaller, is on the west end of the building.    Passengers enter the building through the center, which has been fully restored, and proceed through a large area to the tunnel, which takes them to trackside.    There is an elevator for those that need it to access the platform.

This is on the platform looking east, the DRC is one provided by the Dallas side of the operation.    These are very comfortable to ride in and have held up well in their year or so service on the TRE.

Access to the station is from about the middle of this photo, either by stairwell or elevator.

Will intercity passenger service ever return to this station?    I would like to think it could happen.

This view is of the ceiling in the Main lobby.   The restoration is beautiful and does the old station justice.

Here is a close up of the detail in the ceiling work in the main lobby.

From the main lobby, this is the way to the platform area.    You must cross a second large lobby to enter the tunnel to the tracks.
