This is a view of Texarkana's old but still majestic Union Station.     The present Amtrak Station is to the left and the Bowie County jail is to the right.     This has caused Several surprises to travelers over the years in that the inmates are not bashful.     The old station is still impressive on the inside.

This is the present business end of the Texarkana station as far as passengers go.    It is on the north end of the station complex and is well kept up and passenger friendly.

The Texarkana station has a large covered platform dating back to the time when this was a major passenger terminal.     This is looking to the north from Texas into Arkansas, yes the station sets on the state line.
